COLD SMOKE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
SET TO BREAK GROUND IN 2025, Cold Smoke is the latest community housing development thanks to a continued partnership between LMLC and the Big Sky Community Housing Trust. “Cold Smoke will fill a major gap in the housing market,” says BSCHT Executive Director David O'Connor. “It will provide an opportunity for families to plant roots in Big Sky.”
LMLC began addressing the housing gap in Big Sky in 2016, creating more than 700 community housing units that serve 2,500 locals. Cold Smoke will include nearly 400 units including single-family homes and apartments. Some units will be for sale, others will add to the long-term rental inventory; all units will be affordable to a wide spectrum of local incomes. The location is within walking distance from both the Meadow Village and Town Center. And a trail system that connects to Big Sky’s vast trail network leaves from the neighborhood. “Our design prioritizes livability and caters to the outdoor enthusiast thanks to ample storage and direct access to nature,” says O'Connor.
