REIMAGINING BUCK'S - A Fresh Take on a Big Sky Landmark Restaurant

BIG SKY RESIDENTS AND VISITORS CAN LOOK FORWARD to an exciting new chapter for the legendary Buck’s restaurant, which is undergoing a major renovation and is set to reopen in 2025. While honoring its rich history, the refreshed restaurant will feature an enhanced arcade, a new menu, and a full bar. The historic Montana Room will continue to host groups and community events, maintaining Buck’s legacy as a favorite spot for gatherings.

As for the former Buck’s Motel, LMLC is creating more employee housing by revitalizing guest rooms with new plumbing, modern fixtures, carpeting, energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, and new windows and furniture. A communal dining room is open, alongside amenities such as a convenience store, coffee bar, and fitness center. Later, a new building, constructed with sustainable cross-laminated timber modules, will add still more housing to the site, with occupancy slated for spring 2025. Once completed, the Buck’s property will provide 322 total beds.
