CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Born and raised on a family farm in Montana, Nick Mehmke honed his craft at the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon, and brings morethan 20 years of diverse culinary expertise to Wild Caddis at Rainbow Ranch where he is combining his Montana roots with his culinary vision. “Coming back to Big Sky felt like coming home,” he says.

RESTAURANT: Horn & Cantle at Lone Mountain Ranch is rooted in a deep commitment to locally sourced ingredients and Montana’s heritage.
CAREER HIGHLIGHT: “I love this business, so every day is a highlight,” says Todd, who has served as the Culinary Director at Lone Mountain Ranch for a year and a half. “After coming down that long, snow-covered road and up through the ranch to get to the restaurant, Horn & Cantle is an immersive experience.”

CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Ian, a Big Sky resident since 2002, took a leap of faith when he purchased Olive B’s during the pandemic. The risk has paid off. Ian has honored Olive B’s legacy while expanding the menu to reflect his own tastes—all while ensuring that Olive B’s remains a beloved Big Sky mainstay.
